There are two important areas that you will need to concentrate on to move your website/blog up to the top.

1. On Page Optimization

On page factor only related to the areaa you can affect directly on your actual website itself (all the coding therein). These are important areas for search engine such as MSN and Yahoo. Google less place important but you still need to develope this.

The on page areas such as what you call each page and the text and image on your page describe to the search engine that page. They rank page according some of these factors.

The search engine also use some of the coding to display in their result so pay particular attention to all mof these- not just for ranking purpose, but also for optial clicks of your site/blog.

2. Off Page Optimization

More and more these days off page criteria ( that is not coded in page itself) is having more weight and relevant. These are things like links pointing to your site from other external site and other page whitin your own site.

The more site pointing to your site, the more good result your site will obtain in Search engine rangking especially google.
